The pandemic has been one heck of a rollercoaster! Fitness instructors, like George Bolzoni, have watched gym doors go from closed to propped open and back to closed again. Luckily, Apple has a new app called Fitness+ that’s attempting to fill the temporary void!
Radically impacted by the pandemic, fitness instructors have had to find their footing in a whole new space. While one-on-one instructional classes may be on pause, maintaining the physique certainly takes no days off. So now, both client and fitness trainer alike have had to seek out ways to workout at home.
In his own search for a temporary gym time replacement, George Bolzoni has tried his hand at a few options. He’s built his own home gym, for starters. (Stay tuned for more on that!)
But as a fitness enthusiast who has always enjoyed intertwining classic approaches with cutting edge tech… something has been missing for Bolzoni. Fortunately, he’s recently discovered something that’s helped spice up his workout routine. And get this, the whole idea is to workout from home! So there’s no feeling of disconnect between what working out in a gym feels like to switching gears for a workout at home. (Because, let’s face it… not everyone has room at home for a Peloton or other high tech home machines that remind us of our long lost gym days!)
That new something special is Apple’s Fitness+, a workout app that connects you with a trainer and allows you to personalize your routine. Fully customizable, Fitness+ gives you some spice to shake up that workout of yours. By selecting a time duration between 5 and 45 minutes, you can discover a variety of workouts that fit into your schedule — and your ability level. Fitness+ has everything from yoga workouts to cardio and so much more! A subscription to all the app’s goodies will even remind you of your gym membership… only cheaper, at just $10/month.
